very good

just started using it recently. So far, I am very pleased.

So easy to use, so helpful, I use it everyday

I use Things for everyday tasks, and it is awesome. Keeps me focused.

So far so Good

I ad this App back in2012, then switched computers and started using Reminders. Last night I got back into it, and forgot how great and Easy it is.. Its all about not forgetting the purpose of why you use it in the first place! So that you can get things done, and not have to side track on how to do it. Its so intuitive at first you think your missing something. Your not, thats how good this is. Got it synced to the cloud, syncs with my IPhone 6 Plus, seamless, great. I enjoy getting things done like this. Highly recommend it.

I’ve tried them all, and Things is the best!!

I’ve tried every major to-do app on the App Store, from Todoist, to 2Do, to Wanderlust and even OmniFocus. But Things is still the best out there for me. It all starts with the Today view, the most important aspect of any to-do app - focusing on what you have to do today and also want to do today. Most other app’s today view only consists of items that are due today - as in, items that *must* be completed or else there will be a negative consequence. But that’s not all, there are also tasks that you would LIKE to get done today, but nothing will happen if they are not completed today. You can have both in things, you just star any task you want to do today. Additionally, Things offers a Daily Review, which automatically shows due and scheduled tasks and you can decide whether or not to act on them. By using this system, nothing will slip through the cracks, as Things will keep you accountable. Things does not only help you get things done for today, but also for the future. There is a Next list, which contains to-dos that you can do any time. There is a unique Scheduled list, in which you can schedule a task to be reviewed on a certain day. This is one of my favorite features, being able to separate when you want to do a tasks and it’s due date. This way, you can use due dates for items that have firm deadlines, and schedule tasks just for when you want to work on them. Things also has a Someday list, where you can put items that you have not yet committed to but may be of interest in the future. When a task is too complex, you can use projects instead, which contain multiple tasks. Projects themselves can also be played in the Scheduled and Someday lists as well. That’s not even everything, there are also tags, which you can use to quickly filter tasks, Areas of Responsibility which let you group related tasks together (i.e., Work, Career, School, Family, etc). Things is the best to-do app out there, please give it a try.

Apple Watch app fixed !

Problems with Apple Watch have been fixed. Back to highest quality. Its the best todo app in the AppStore. Highly recommended.

Required to make separate purchase for iPad version

I enjoy Things, but its somewhat incredulous to think that they would charge an additional $20 to purchase the iPad version. I understand and respect the need to increase revenue, but it seems to make sense to decrease to app by the amount that users paid for the iPhone version. I have deleted this app as a choice. It may work for you.

Best app

Realy good app. I recomend it.

How about an update?

3-18-16 Ive moved on to 2do. This app is trapped by developers that seem entirely uninterested in adding requested features.

Love using it

I appreciate the balance of automation and usability in this todo list manager. The features that make me review my lists (a daily review, the discouraging of dating every task) makes me to interact and think about the things I need to do. My favorite to do app after several years of use.

One price please

I like Things but the app for the phone has a different price than the one for the Mac and the iPad. Put it all under one price because after all what is the point of using the iPhone app if I cant access my to do list on my Mac or my iPad. :( And I was considering it but after reading the reviews. I will wait. Im sure I can find something cheaper and more responsive.

Fastest most reliable sync

Push sync is faster than any other GTD app out there. Consistently iterated. Yes things 3 was delayed. But it was delayed so they could modernize the app to iOS 9.

Great app, but HORRIBLY outdated!

UPDATE – Mar. 15, 2016: Well, Cultured Code released an update today, and as usual, it provides absolutely nothing of value. It contains invisible bug fixes, but nothing whatsoever to improve the user experience. So, thanks again for yet another long wait followed by yet another huge disappointment! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Like many of you, Ive been following Cultured Codes progress (or LACK of progress) for years now, hoping against hope that one day they will actually listen to their paying customers feedback. But alas, they never do. Version 3 for iOS was promised over 2 years ago, and there is still no sign of it. So where do I start… PROS - The Mac version is brilliant. It takes a while to learn all the keyboard shortcuts, but once youve got it, adding and editing items is fluid and intuitive. - Things has the most powerful and flexible Recurring Date options Ive ever seen. You can schedule a recurring To Do on any sequence except for the first or last Mon, Tue, etc. of the month. - Wonderful date picker. - I used to hate having to do the "Daily Review" manually, but now I love it. This forces me to start my day by intentionally ordering my priorities. CONS - Bloody expensive! Youll have to sell one of your kids to afford Things for your Mac, iPhone and iPad. For that kind of money, youd think they would show a little more respect to their loyal customers by implementing requested updates sooner, or at all. By the way, I ran a software development company for 23 years, and I do NOT mind paying a lot for quality apps... IF the users are actually listened to, and IF the app gets updated with substantive improvements on a fairly regular basis. NEITHER are taking place with Things, and thats what really annoys me. - A huge chasm exists between the Mac version and the iOS version. There is a long list of functions that can ONLY be performed on the Mac, but they CANNOT be done on iOS. Why the heck not? This is just laziness on the developers part, and it severely cripples Things on iOS. So when Im away from my office and realize I need to create a Repeating Project, or add a new Contact to Things, well, I cant. I have to create a new To Do so Ill remember to do it when I get back to my MacBook. How ironic! - The iOS version requires way, way, WAY too many taps to navigate anywhere. Users have raised this complaint for years, but as weve come to expect, Cultured Code sits on their hands and says, "Who cares!" If youve drilled down into a Project and its To Dos, it can take up to SIX taps just to return to the Home page. SIX! Multiply that by the number of times users do that every day and it doesnt take a genius to see how much time is being wasted. Come on guys, for the love of God, add a freakin HOME button already! Or are you not smart enough to know how to do that? - When looking at any list of To Dos, it takes THREE taps to even be able to BEGIN editing the To Do. This could be made simpler. - When trying to edit Tags, you are forced to first tap the Edit button, and then tap the Tag you want to edit. Why?! Tapping on the Tag currently does nothing, and since were already in the "Edit Tags" section, shouldnt that imply we want to, you know, EDIT them? Why not just open the Edit page whenever a Tag is tapped on? The Edit button should only be needed for rearranging the Tags. Same goes for editing Areas. - These time-consuming problems Ive listed above, plus many others, could easily be resolved if the app were updated to use actions like tap and hold, double tap, additional swipe gestures, pop-ups, etc. But every single action in this entire app happens only by single taps, and this creates an unbelievably slow navigation process! This is horribly outdated functionality, and further evidence that these developers are years behind the times. - On the Next view, there is no way to change the sort order of Projects and Areas of Responsibility on that page. - After moving To Dos from Next to Today, they STILL show up on the Next page. This is utterly confusing! If Ive "MOVED" an item to Today, it cant still be in Next! The whole purpose of the Next view is to scan for items you HAVENT YET moved to your Today list. I just dont get it. When any item is moved from Next to Today, it should completely disappear from the Next view to provide a cleaner, less cluttered list of exactly which items you still might need to move to the Today view. - Their instructions say you should constantly switch between Today and Next in order to transfer To Dos from Next to Today. No problem. Except when youre in Today, you have to back out of it to the Home page, THEN go into Next from there. Doing this throughout the day every day feels like constantly putting your car in Drive, then Reverse, then Drive, then Reverse, over and over again. Gee, I dont know… heres a crazy thought… why not add a button on the bottom of both pages that would let us instantly toggle back and forth between Today and Next with one simple tap? Hmmm? - When adding "Assigned To" people via Things on the Mac, it only displays each persons FIRST name. Oookaay… what if we have two people named Jim or Beth (which we do)? Good luck figuring out whos who! - STILL no Due Times for To Dos. - STILL no alarms for any To Dos. - STILL cant attach photos or files to any item. - STILL cant do rapid-entry of To Dos. - STILL no location-based alerts. - STILL cant do anything whatsoever with Assigned To people in iOS. - STILL cant rearrange Projects in iOS. - STILL cant duplicate To Dos or Projects in iOS. - STILL no Undo capability in iOS. - STILL cant create sub-tasks in any To Do. Well, I could go on, but you get the idea. This really is a wonderful app, but it is sorely outdated and in desperate need of a renewal. It looks and feels like an app from the iPhone 3 days. Come on guys, youve earned a reputation for being stagnant. When are you going to wake up?

Great update!

Update: I have made this my permanent task manager. With the today widget and the "+" button it lowers the barrier of entry of tasks to 2-3 taps until you are typing away. Thats a huge boon for your productivity psyche. The iOS app could offer a bit less clunky organizational flow, but hopefully they update this in Things 3 when it arrives. Thanks, CC for a reliable service and great design! Old review: Cultured Code may take a bit longer to implement features, but when they do they are superb. For example, the new "share" button for projects and individual to – dos will enable me to share to Evernote for project integration..A very useful feature, indeed. I have gone back-and-forth to many task managers while Cultured Code has gotten Things to its current state, however the workflow and care put into their app is one of a kind. Pick this app up – you will not be dissatisfied.

Way too long without update

Simplified methodology of Things is great, but the app hasnt received a meaningful update in years. Things 3 might be great, whenever it sees the light of day, but I wouldnt recommend buying into the app until then.

Excellent App

Easy to use, yet detailed enough to have on hand necessary information.

Great App

I think Things is a great app and I have been using it for about 2 years. Its simple enough to where its easy to use and I dont get confused on what is where. I would highly suggest downloading it if you like to keep track of everything you know you have to do.

Super simple and effective

Worth every dollar. Totally recommended!!!

Pretty ok

This app looks super clean, and has a super fast free cloud sync. A few gripes. 1. Sorting for mobile would be great. 2. It takes 3 taps to add a note to a task. FOUR taps to change the priority or due date. Thats way too much. 3. My list of items is not auto-prioritized by priority. And I cant even drag them in order. That. is. insane. for a to-do app. You can filter by priority (aka only show high priority or only show low priority) but I would really like to see my whole list in prioritized order. 4. There is no function for entering how long a task will take. Culturedcode never promised that, but I think it would be convenient. Especially if you could mark how long something actually took vs how long you initially thought. But lets be honest thats asking too much. Unfortunately, as much as I like this app, Ive realized today that there are apps out there that do these things, and i prioritize some of these items over some of things abilities. I really really hope that things 3 comes out ASAP, but Im frankly not holding my breath since its been on the horizon for years. I think cultured code is scrambling to keep up updates with iPad, iPhone, watch, and desktop apps as it is... So who knows maybe 3.0 will never actually come. Sorry CC but until 3.0 or major updates, Im moving on. Been fun. PS if you dont want to pay for the iPad app, just go to purchase history in the iTunes App Store and download the iPhone app for your iPad. It looks silly but it works and you wont have to pay twice (which is stupid CC)

Not finding this any more useful than free apps

Maybe it is just me but I am Not finding this any more useful than free apps.

Best GTD app available, period.

I am on mobile, so I will keep this brief. At this price you cannot possibly do better.
